Declaration of Consent

I declare that the information given by me in this application for employment is true to the best of my knowledge and that I have not wilfully withheld any relevant particulars.

This declaration shall, if I am employed by Scoot Pte. Ltd. (the “Company”), be part of my contract of service. I accept that if any of the information given by me in this application for employment is in any way false, or incorrect, the Company shall have the right to reject my application, withdraw any offer of employment or dismiss me without notice and without assigning any reason.

I give consent to the Company to collect, use and disclose all information (including but not limited to any of my personal data) provided during the job application process in accordance with the Scoot Candidate Privacy Policy.

I confirm that:
(i) I am; or
(ii) I will, prior to the commencement of my employment with the Company (if my application is successful), be, fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in accordance with the Singapore government’s / authorities’ prevailing policies on vaccination (including in relation to any requirements for booster doses or antibody serology tests for vaccination received overseas), and that my “Vaccinated” status is / will be (as the case may be) recorded in the National Immunisation Registry (NIR) and the Ministry of Health’s national IT system (e.g. reflected in HealthHub and TraceTogether). I agree to submit all relevant documentation, including vaccination certificates and/or serology tests results, to the Company. If I am employed by the Company, I agree to comply at all times with all of the Singapore government’s / authorities’ and the Company’s prevailing policies relating to COVID-19 vaccination, as amended and/or updated from time to time (including in relation to receiving further booster doses).


Scoot Candidate Privacy Policy


Scoot Pte. Ltd. is a corporation registered in the Republic of Singapore with a registered office at 25 Airline Road, Airline House, Singapore 819829 (“we”, “us”, or “our”) and is the data controller for the purposes of all applicable data protection laws. We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This policy sets out the basis on which we will process any personal data that you provide to us, including but not limited to any personal data submitted through this website.

The types of data we receive and use

We will collect, process and use the following information about you:

  1. Information you provide as part of your application. This includes but is not limited to:
      a. any information you provide when applying for a role through this website;
      b. any information or documents which you may provide us through the  phone, e-mail or any other modes of communications;
      c. information such as your name, date of birth, contact information, work experience, vaccination status, educational qualifications, ability to work in the country for which you are applying for employment and any information you choose to submit to us.
  2. Sensitive information that you provide: Where permitted by local law, you have the option of providing certain sensitive personal data with your consent, such as nationality, data relating to your health (e.g. existing medical conditions, vision, colour blindness etc.), race, ethnic origin and whether you have a disability, for the purpose of equal opportunities monitoring, and/or where required by law, and/or in order for us to accommodate your medical condition, at your discretion and with your explicit consent.

  3. Information from third parties. We may receive information from third parties in connection with your application, such as the results of psychometric tests and other assessments, referees, recruiters and organisations that provide background checks (this may include right to work, criminal reference checks and motor vehicle record background checks to the extent permitted by applicable law).  If you are in the EU, criminal reference checks will be undertaken where required by law.

  4. If applicable, information relating to any previous application(s) you may have made to us and/or any previous employment history with us or our affiliates within the Singapore Airlines Group (“SIA Group”).

  5. Information related to any assessment you may take (including health and medical assessment) as part of the job application process.

How we use your information

As it is in our legitimate interest to assess your suitability of employment with us, we will use your information to:

  • Identify and evaluate you for employment positions;
  • determine and validate your qualifications for employment;
  • conduct background checks including, to the extent permitted under applicable law (including checking references, qualifications, conducting criminal records checks);
  • determine an employment package for you;
  • if you are a successful candidate, create an employment record;
  • conduct employment and diversity monitoring where required by law or at your discretion and with your explicit consent;
  • communicate with you (including to make or negotiate any employment offer and/or seek clarifications or additional information regarding your application);
  • with your prior consent, send you notifications about new positions that match your profile and share your data with the SIA Group in order for them to send you the same;
  • administer and facilitate the job application process, which may include the use of tools and processes which incorporate data analytics and artificial intelligence;
  • conduct data analytics for recruitment and employment purposes, including but not limited to the development and refinement of tools and processes which incorporate artificial intelligence; and
  • participate in surveys or outreach or seek funding from government-related organisations, regulatory bodies and authorities, or public agencies (e.g. Employment and Employability Institute (e2i) or schools / institutes of higher learning) for purposes such as data and trend analysis, training, receiving funding and/or hiring outreach efforts.

If you are in the EU, our legal basis for processing your personal data for the purposes set out above is our legitimate interest to evaluate your application for employment, except where the legal basis is consent or compliance with law as set out above.

How we share your information

We share your information with selected third party recipients to the extent necessary to process your application. These categories of recipients include but are not limited to:

  • vendors who conduct psychometric tests, analysis, and assessments and/or administer any part of the recruitment process on our behalf (e.g. Workday);
  • external vendors who provide relevant services including, but not limited to, the following: recruitment services, technology services, background checks, medical checks or assessment tests;
  • (if necessary) governmental or regulatory authorities such as the Civil Aviation Authority;
  • referees so they can provide a reference;
  • our affiliates within the SIA Group; and
  • government-related organisations, regulatory bodies and authorities, or public agencies (e.g. Employment and Employability Institute (e2i) or schools / institutes of higher learning), for purposes such as data and trend analysis, training, receiving funding and/or hiring outreach efforts.


Where we store your information

The personal data that we collect from you will be transferred to, and stored at / processed primarily in Singapore, Ireland or the Netherlands and we may need to transfer  personal data to relevant external vendors or consultants overseas in order to process your application. Should any personal data be transferred, processed or stored overseas, this will be in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including any cross-border data transfer requirements.

Data retention

Your information will be retained in accordance with our data retention policy and applicable laws.   In certain cases, we may be required to retain your personal data for a longer period where required by law or a court order and/or as needed to defend or pursue legal claims.

Deletion of information

You may revise or deactivate your Workday candidate profile / account at any time. You may also have your information deleted completely by sending an e-mail request to us at

Your rights

You have certain rights in relation to the personal data we hold about you. Some of these only apply in certain circumstances,. Please note that we will require you to verify your identity before responding to any requests. We will respond to a request by you to exercise those rights without undue delay and in any event within the timelines prescribed under applicable privacy laws. To exercise any of your rights, please write to us at

  • Withdrawal of Consent. You may withdraw consent and request us to stop using and/or disclosing your personal data for any or all of the purposes listed above. Whilst we respect your decision to withdraw your consent, please note that depending on the nature and extent of your request, we may not be in a position to process your job application (as the case may be). We shall, in such circumstances, notify you before completing the processing of your request. Should you decide to cancel your withdrawal of consent, please inform us in writing. Please note that withdrawing consent does not affect our right to continue to collect, use and disclose personal data where such collection, use and disclosure without consent is permitted or required under applicable laws.

  • Objection. You have the right to object to our processing of data about you and we will consider your request. Please provide us with detail as to your reasoning so that we can assess whether there is a compelling overriding interest in us continuing to process such data or we need to process it in relation to legal claims.

  • Access. You have the right to know whether we process personal data about you, and if we do, to access data we hold about you and certain information about how we use it and who we share it with.

  • Portability. You have the right to receive a subset of the personal data we collect from you in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and a right to request that we transfer such personal data to another party. If you wish for us to transfer the personal data to another party, please ensure you detail that party and note that we can only do so where it is technically feasible. We are not responsible for the security of the personal data or its processing once received by the third party.

    Note: We may not be able to provide you with certain personal data following an access or portability request if providing it would interfere with another individual’s rights (e.g. where providing the personal data we hold about you would reveal information about another person) or where another exemption applies.

  • Correction. You have the right to require us to correct any personal data held about you that is inaccurate and have incomplete data completed (including by the provision of a supplementary statement). Where you request correction, please explain in detail why you believe the personal data we hold about you to be inaccurate or incomplete so that we can assess whether a correction is required. Please note that whilst we assess whether the personal data we hold about you is inaccurate or incomplete, you may exercise your right to restrict our processing of the applicable data as described below.

  • Erasure. You may request that we erase the personal data we hold about you in certain circumstances. Please provide as much detail as possible on your reasons for the request to assist us in determining whether you have a valid basis for erasure. We will retain the personal data if there are valid grounds under law for us to do so (e.g., for the defence of legal claims or freedom of expression) but we will let you know if that is the case. When destroying the information provided, we will take commercially reasonable and technically possible measures to make your personal information irrecoverable or irreproducible in accordance with the applicable laws.

  • Restriction of Processing to Storage Only. You have a right to require us to stop processing the personal data we hold about you other than for storage purposes in certain circumstances. Please note, however, that if we stop processing the personal data, we may use it again if there are valid grounds under data protection law for us to do so (e.g. for the defence of legal claims or health and safety reasons).
