Advisory
From 15 April 2026, customers on Scoot flights may carry a maximum of two power banks per passenger, subject to applicable energy capacity limits.
This is in addition to existing requirements:
- Power banks must not be used or charged onboard through the flight.
- Power banks are not permitted in checked baggage. They must be carried in cabin baggage only and should not be placed in the overhead compartment.
Capacity guidelines:
- Power banks up to 100Wh are allowed without special approval.
- Power banks between 100Wh and 160Wh require prior airline approval.
The SIA Group complies with the International Air Transport Association's (IATA) Dangerous Goods Regulations, under which power banks are classified as lithium batteries.
We seek customers’ understanding that safety will always be our top priority.
